These black dating tips will help you when you’re experiencing the sting of rejection. Rejection is when someone pushes you away.
Studies show that when you experience rejection, this travels on the same pathways in the brain that physical pain does. This explains why rejection is so doggone painful!
Psychologist Guy Winch offers insights on rejection. He writes, “Of course, emotional pain is only one of the ways rejections impact our well-being. Rejections also damage our mood and our self-esteem, they elicit swells of anger and aggression, and they destabilize our need to belong."
You can tell, can’t you, when your significant other has lost that loving feeling for you? Maybe you sense it first. Something inside nudges you, alerting you to a puzzling inclination.
Call it the heart whisperer, if you like. Or you notice outward signs: He looks elsewhere when he used to look at you and hang on to your every utterance. Now when he’s around you, he looks away and his Adam’s apple bobs. What’s up with this?
“So where does the name Adam’s apple come from? Most people say that it is from the notion that this bump was caused by the forbidden fruit getting stuck in the throat of Adam in the Garden of Eden.
There is a problem with this theory because some Hebrew scholars believe that the forbidden fruit was the pomegranate. The Koran claims that the forbidden fruit was a banana. So take your pick—Adam’s apple, Adam’s pomegranate, Adam’s banana. Eve clearly chewed before swallowing.” – Mark Leyner
Do not concentrate on any negative qualities you may feel you have. Or what you may have done wrong in the relationship. His rejection of you might just be his own issues.

“Isn’t that the greatest tragedy? When someone rejects us, no matter how they abuse our love, we hope against reason that somehow they will come back to us.”
~Suzanne Elizabeth Anderson, Mrs. Tuesday's Departure
“It’s common to reject or punish yourself when
you’ve been rejected by others. When you experience disappointment from the way
your family or others treat you, that’s the time to take special care of
yourself. What are you doing to nurture yourself? What are you doing to protect
yourself? Find a healthy way to express your pain.”
"What feels like rejection is often God’s protection when you’re heading in the wrong direction."
